Founder and President of SafeSolutions, Nancy Hunter, M.A. has worked in the mental health field for over 34 years. For the
last 18 years she has specialized in the area of domestic violence. She worked with over 6,000 victims who she credits for
giving her the gift of their trust and educating her in what she now teaches.
Ms. Hunter spent seven years on the street with the Atlanta Police Department in their Domestic Crisis Intervention Unit
and five years as the Director of the Victim Assistance Program within the Fulton County (GA) Solicitor General's Office.
She has qualified as an expert witness in both State and Superior Courts.
From 1998 to 2001 she received federal funding to train law enforcement officers across Georgia in the law and psychology
of domestic violence. Ms. Hunter is a certified law enforcement instructor.
Most recently she has developed a comprehensive domestic violence section for the Superior Court Benchbook through the
Council of Superior Court Judges (Georgia).
